Ben’s career spans Senior Executive roles in both municipal and commercial environments, including Deputy Chief Executive at Thames-Coromandel District Council and General Manager Operations at Smart Environmental. His experience covers large-scale service delivery, contract and asset management, digital and operational transformation, health and safety and leading change in complex, highly regulated environments.

Before joining KHWS Yash worked as a Utilities Engineer for Tararua District Council and a Utilities Engineering Officer for Nelson City Council, managing treatment plant operations, contractor supervision and asset condition assessments. His earlier industry experience includes process engineering and instrumentation roles supporting water treatment clients across the South Island.

Through delivery of infrastructure projects across New Zealand, Dan brings a wealth of engineering and project management experience to the role. Before joining KHWS, Dan delivered capital infrastructure projects for Hurunui District Council and contributed to the design and delivery of major irrigation schemes across the South Island. At KHWS, Dan’s oversight of capital investment programmes support the reliability, resilience and future growth of water services across the district.

Alex brings over a decade of local government field experience to his role as Operations Manager, building a deep knowledge of the Hurunui district’s water, roading and amenities networks. Before joining council, Alex worked as a Network Services Manager at Enable, overseeing fibre broadband connections, and held electrical technician and fitter roles across South Island substations and power stations. At KHWS, Alex leads operations to ensure reliable, well-managed water and wastewater services for the community.

Technical expertise in asset management, infrastructure delivery and geospatial solutions are just some of the skills Gavin brings to his Team Leader role at KHWS. His experience spans NZ, the UK, and project work across the Middle East and Africa, including governmental roles with Auckland Council and the UK’s Environment Agency, alongside consulting positions at Accenture and URS (now AECOM). Gavin is also a longstanding member of CIWEM, ISEP, and the International Water Association (IWA).
